Hispanic Unity of Florida Partners with Fifth Third Bank to “Drive” Financial Wellness
The 40-foot eBus offers Mobile, One-on-One Financial Counseling at VITA Site for Free Tax Preparation
WHAT: Fifth Third Bank has teamed up with Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) to bring Broward County residents the eBus – a vehicle that has been electronically retrofitted to serve as a mobile classroom. Also called Fifth Third Bank’s Financial Empowerment Mobile, the eBus allows visitors to not only receive one-on-one credit counseling, money management and homeownership advice, but also free tax preparation for those who qualify.
In addition to regular financial empowerment services offered at the eBus, Hispanic Unity will offer free tax preparation through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). Hispanic Unity, one of the largest VITA, free tax partners of the IRS, will have certified volunteers to help file taxes for households with income under $51,000.
